Pump Track
WHAT IS A PUMP TRACK?
PUMP TRACK
Pump tracks are a relatively new phenomenon that is fast growing in popularity across the world. These tracks are typically composed of a short loop filled with a variety of mounds, rollers and banked corners. The aim is to ‘pump’ the bike into and out of the terrain using momentum to gain speed rather than pedaling, braking is also to be avoided. These facilities require only a very small footprint and are perfectly suited to urban developments.
Pump tracks get harder the faster they are ridden, thus making the same facility equally enjoyable for everyone from absolute beginner through to world-class riders. These facilities are very cost effective to develop and require little or no ongoing maintenance if designed and constructed correctly.
Almost any style of bicycle can be ridden on a pump track though dirt jump-specific bicycles are the best suited to these facilities.

Successful pump track design requires significant experience in design, constructing and riding this type of facility. Dirt Art has designed and constructed a number of successful facilities across Australia, clearly establishing the company as an industry leader in this field.
Dirt Art offer a full CAD (computer aided design) service that includes profile modeling and three-dimensional concepts. These concepts can be drawn onto site surveys or can be overlaid onto existing maps. All designs are scaled and finished including construction specifications and information.
